Fly-In/Drive-In Lunch at Brothers in Kenai! Fly-in to Kenai (PAEN) for some delicious food and then (weather permitting) a fun fly out for viewing glaciers in winter! Those equipped with skis may also go explore some local lakes. Lunch should be short, but I have an extra generator for anyone who needs electric as there are no electric tie downs in transient. Park outside the cafe in transient!

The 21st Kenai Peninsula Air Fair is coming June 8th, 2024!
The Kenai Peninsula Air Fair and Fun Run is an exhilarating annual event that combines the excitement of aviation with the spirit of community. This gathering attracts aviation enthusiasts, pilots, and families alike.
The event begins with the Pancake Breakfast at the MARC Hangar at the Soldotna Airport (595 Funny River Road) from 8-10am. As pilots participate in the Fun Run, the event then continues at the Kenai Municipal Airport (515 North Willow Street) from 12-3pm. The Fun Flight prizes will be awarded at approximately 2:30pm.
The event is free to the public! Visitors can wander among the aircraft on display, chat with pilots, and experience a wide array of exhibitor and vendor booths. All proceeds go to the Missionary Aviation Repair Center (MARC) in support of the Peninsula Pilots Club and the continuation of the Kenai Peninsula Air Fair.
In addition to the aviation festivities, the Fun Flight provides a chance for pilots to collect cards from at least 5 of 9 airports to play their card hand and get the chance to win an assortment of prizes! More details on the sign-up sheet.
Food trucks will be on-site to offer a delicious assortment of local fare, from snacks and meals, to treats, ensuring that visitors can refuel and recharge between activities. There will be family-friendly background music as well as a variety of presentations.

Please bring your anchor and mooring line and arrive between 11:00am and 1:00pm. Bring a second 100′ rope for tethering the tail of your aircraft to the shoreline. The Boat Taxi will be available to provide mooring assistance and rides to shore.
All Floatplanes and Seaplanes are welcome. No wheel planes permitted without prior permission from the Airport Manager!

The Great Alaskan Pumpkin Drop is back on for 2024 at a new location!
Try your luck or skill at dropping pumpkins from your airplane! The target zone will be a 100 foot circle. Winner is the closest to the center. It is a lot harder to judge when to drop than it looks!
Fire and food will follow the event! Prizes for first, second, and third place will be awarded.
